Why do you need a strong visual identity?

The first impression is often the most important one. A strong first impression can make people stick around your brand and become loyal consumers. Your brand is not just your logo, nice colors, beautiful fonts or stunning pictures. It’s your key to attracting the audience you always dreamed of, to making yourself known to the outside world.

Your customers need to trust you and I’m here to help you build that trust together.

MY DESIGN PROCESS

1. Asking & Listening

I start by digging deep into your brand to find out what will visually attract your dream customer & successfully communicate what differentiates you from the competition.

This is done in the format of a comprehensive client questionnaire, followed by a debrief call, to discuss the answers provided in the form. You are the star of this part! The more you tell me about your brand and vision, the richer the concepts will be. So, please don’t hold back! At this stage it’s also helpful to have a Pinterest board created, to give an indication of the visual style you’re looking for. (No worries if you don’t,
we can set it up quickly for you).

2. Thinking &Researching

Once internal research & client discussion is conducted, we dive into brainstorming. I use various methods to generate ideas such as mind mapping, brain writing or design history references. I refine and cluster the concepts into 1-3 directions (depending on the project complexity) and start representing those concepts visually, though a moodboard.

You get a beautiful PDF via email and we discuss it over a quick call. If none of the options feel right, we’ll go over the concepts again and I will refine the moodboard until we are set on one solid direction. (No logo or graphics unique to your brand will be developed at this stage.)

3. Designing

This means sketching, sketching, sketching. While my process involves coming up with lots of sketches, I will only present the best options of the logo design. The logo will be shown in black and white only at this stage. It will be shown in appropriate contexts so that you can see how it behaves on multiple formats and media.

After this stage, you would pick one logo version that will be further refined and will be at the core of the entire design system.

4. Visual Assets Creation

Once the logo design is concluded, I develop a mix of creative elements that can be applied to the materials of your choice such as business cards, packaging, print materials, social media assets and so much more.

5. Brand Style Guide & Master Files

This is the final phase, where I create a brand style guide as well as a master folder with all the logo files, fonts & design elements.

This is important because it means that you now have a guide that you or your team can follow to make sure you keep all future marketing materials cohesive with your brand identity.
