Branding a unique festival experience taking place in Boston.
The brief.
Triptic Arts Festival is an experimental music and arts festival targeting a young, creative, and artistically inclined audience. Combining alternative, electro, and indie pop music with immersive light and sound installations, the festival reimagines the traditional festival experience as a hyper-sensorial journey.
The challenge was to create a visual identity that reflected the festival’s innovative, multi-sensory approach while resonating with its target demographic of 18-30-year-olds. The design needed to embody the festival's unconventional mix of music and art while maintaining a cohesive yet striking aesthetic to captivate the audience.
The design solution.
The visual identity centered around its core concept: the fusion of music, light, sound, and visuals into an immersive sensory experience. The design solution focused on translating this "journey of the senses" into compelling visuals through three key elements:
Color Palette: A vibrant, electric spectrum of colors, including neon hues and rich gradients, evokes the festival’s dynamic and immersive atmosphere. The colors reflect the energy of the music and the vibrancy of the light installations.
Typography: Bold, modern typefaces with geometric influences convey a sense of experimentation and artistic flair.
Imagery and Graphics: Psychedelic layering of photography, abstract shapes, and visual distortions reflects the festival’s sensory alchemy. The juxtaposition of images and graphics creates a feeling of movement, light, and sound blending together.
The visual design positions Triptic Arts Festival as a cutting-edge, must-attend event for young creatives and established the festival as a new player in the arts and music scene.
