A Poetic Website Redesign
Website design and development, creative direction and expansion of the brand visual expressions for Shea Rose, a multidisciplinary artist and coach from Boston.
The brief.
Shea Rose is a recording artist, holistic voice coach, and conscious curator who empowers creative women through Embodied Voice & Yoga practices. She offers personalized coaching, workshops, and retreats designed to align the body, mind, and voice.
Shea approached me because her existing website didn’t reflect her artistry or resonate with her audience. It felt restrictive and lacked the poetic, editorial quality she envisioned. Shea needed a custom website design for holistic practitioners and artists that captured her unique identity while delivering an immersive, distraction-free user experience.
The design solution.
To create a custom website that authentically represented Shea's artistry, I focused on blending her vision with intentional design choices:
Ample white space: Creating a sense of calm and focus, allowing content to breathe.
Asymmetric layouts: Adding visual interest and reflecting her unconventional creative style.
Compelling photography: Showcasing Shea’s dynamic personality and connecting with her audience on a personal level.
Minimalist typography: Keeping the design clean and sophisticated, aligning with her holistic approach.
Subtle gradient effects: Introducing an ethereal atmosphere, enhancing the poetic quality Shea wanted to convey.
